Shawn Saulnier is the owner and founder of NUVO Network, Halton Region’s largest broadcasting and co-working facility. As the visionary behind the remarkable transformation of the 150,000 square foot NUVO Network building, Shawn is a hands-on leader who prides himself on operating at all levels.

Shawn believes in investing in people, and part of his genius as a leader is who he chooses to work with – that is, the stellar team behind the NUVO brand, as well as the many meaningful community partnerships he has developed inside and outside of the building.

Far from his upbringing of milking cows and tending livestock on a farm in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Shawn has worked his way through many successful business ventures including his time as a consultant for a top global fundraising firm in New York City, and as the founder of a process re-engineering company. Shawn took his love for aviation to a new level when he founded Gateway Airlines while holding the position of Assistant Dean of the Rothman School of Management at the University of Toronto.

As a professional fundraiser, Shawn’s investment in making the world a better place has helped him to raise more than $1 billion for social service agencies, hospitals, arts and culture organizations and other philanthropic projects both in Canada and the United States. The United Way of Halton and Hamilton holds a special place in Shawn’s heart and is the official charitable partner of NUVO Network.

More recently, Shawn has shifted his focus on property development projects in Halton Region, as well as in the US.

Outside of work, Shawn is an accomplished singer and musician, an avid adventure motorcyclist, and enjoys boating and exploring the world. He and his wife Bridget (co-founder of NUVO Network) have a blended “Brady Bunch” family with four children.
